As we increase our mileage in preparation for the Boilermaker, my running partner and I are looking for friendly routes around Cooperstown and Fly Creek. We've heard horror stories about dogs and speeding cars. Does anyone have a favorite they'd like to share in the 5-9 mile range?
Our current 3-miler is the Coop Loop: Start at the CSC. Head towards town. Turn left on Walnut. Turn right on Delaware. Turn right on Elm. Turn left on Pioneer. Turn right on Lake. Turn left on Main and here's where the fun begins. A quick uphill before a right onto Estli. A climb uphill before turning right and heading back to the CSC.
My Fly Creek version: Start at "the Four Corners". Head N on 28, turn right on Cat Town Road, turn right on Hoke Road, turn right on 26. End at Four Corners. Enjoy a coffee and pick up organic milk at the General Store.

6.5 miler- Calk Sports Center to Bowerstown bridge-right down River Rd to Beaver Meadow-left along beautiful rolling hills on Beaver Meadow to Cty Hwy 52. Take left down hill in Bowerstown-over bridge to gym. Nice peaceful 6.5 miler
